Senior Medical Care sends out bills to patients on a monthly basis. Payment of these bills is needs to be received within 30 days of receipt. If you have a high bill that you are unable to pay in full please contact our office and we would be happy to set up a payment plan to defer the cost. Charges that are outstanding more than 60 days will receive a reminder phone call from our billing office to work out a payment plan and payment will be expected before the next visit with Dr. Postigo.
Copayments are due at the time of the visit. Our office accepts cash, checks, debit cards and all major credit cards. If for some reason you are unable to pay your copayment at the visit we will bill you or your responsible party for this amount. You or the responsible party can send in the payment or pay with a credit card by calling our office.
Additionally, you may choose to set up a credit card on file.
Visit Cancellations and Rescheduling
All of our visits are scheduled in advance to keep patients on a regular schedule of managed care. Our office needs to be informed ahead of time if you need to reschedule an appointment. If you are going out of town for an extended period of time please let our office know so your follow-up appointment can be arranged for when you return.
If for any reason you are not at a scheduled appointment and the doctor comes out to your home there is a $20 fee to cover travel costs and time. This will be enforced after an initial reminder.
Insurance and Billing
Your insurance may cover visits from Dr. Postigo. However, if there are any lapses in insurance or your policy does not cover certain services, you are responsible for all charges. Most insurances cover at least part of a charge but if you have any questions on coverage we encourage you to call your insurance provider.
If you received a new insurance card or have any changes in insurance number, insurance carriers, copayments etc. please let our office know as soon as possible. It is important to keep this information up to date so that your medical claims are paid correctly and promptly -- reducing the amount you may need to pay in back charges.
